We are very happy to have completed our new Wood Drying Store that was funded by Community Climate Asset Fund (CCAF). Wood Drying Store will help us to increase quantity and efficiency of our wood drying system. It is a part of our plan to enhance and expand our community wood fuel scheme that aims to demonstrate a sustainable way to heat buildings and significantly reduce our carbon emissions.
Our biomass boiler (located inside the building behind the Wood Store) installed in 2012 is powering underfloor heating in Gouranga Hall that includes Function Hall, Food Hall, Children’s Creche and Toilets. These facilities are used (in non pandemic times) for community meals, yoga, meditation and other public events.
CCAF is administered by Keep Scotland Beautiful on behalf of Scottish Government.
